Hi, I have joined LFGSS to find out more about playing bike polo. I am completely new to this but always wanted to give it a go!

If you guys are playing on Thursday I would love to come down and watch, would that be ok? also find out what I would need to play :)

How tall are you? I've got a mallet you can have for free.

I'm 6'1, I think I will watch the first few times I come along. What time do you guys start playing?

Some arrive around 6pm, most by 7pm.

I'll bring the mallet along, it's 97cm and should be about right for you (a shade on the short side). Someone else (Magic?) will be able to sort you out with a ball... then you'll be two thirds of the way there already.

Awesome Stuff, I have a single Speed Bike, (Gear I think is to high though) got all the safety gear. Exciting Stuff. Do you play at Hackney Downs / Essex Road on thursdays?

I actually think Mitch is closer to Enfield (N21). But I’d still rather call Downs my local ;-)

what's the latest time you can pay for the lights to be on at downs?

They only let u have them till 9ish

It's in the middle of a residential area Kev so restrictions have been put in place due to noise, light, etc

?? It's in the middle of a massive park ! Surely the cars going by the houses on the roads would make more noise than people playing on the court a hundred or more metres away...

Some of the houses backing on from the tennis side are super close. I'll look into it again some more when I have some time.
