Not sure, car was behind me. Felt it crunch and my wheels slightly deviate.

Bad luck James (and indeed the squirrel). Suicidal furball ran into my rear wheel while I was cruising through Viccy Park a while back. He hit me so hard I felt the wheel skip a bit. I imagined the worst but when I looked back the robust rodent was scampering back up the tree he'd just run from. Hard!

On the way back from work drinks and just properly stacked it in right in front of Critical Mass coming the other way. The prospects of all those potential new friends and husbands I was hoping to make on the cross-over have now been dashed
Husbands? I take it you've not yet been on a CM?And, how many husbands do you want?!

Not really an 'oh shit' moment as I wasn't going fast but my shoelace got caught in my chain as I was coming up to some lights on Oxford St today. Thankfully there was a lovely gentleman to help me yank it out. If you're on here, thanks for your help and thank you for complimenting my tattoo!

That happened to my converse ripped two eyelets and chucked me off.

Jesus! That doesn't sound fun. I'm really glad I wasn't going faster. Maybe it's time to go clipless

Some of my clipless shoes also have laces.

True Indra.
I guess I meant MTB shoes. I hear they're a good starting point.

MTB shoes and time ATAC pedals are a good place to start, give it a go, you'll love how different the ride is.

LOL I've been there before. Hit a parked car as it was my first day going clipless and was practicing clipping in and out around a blind corner. LOL I wish I filmed it. It was hilarious in slow motion as well so no damage to car or bike. Hands up I deserved that one.
Falling happens but getting up and going again is what matters. It still makes me smile every time I go by that spot.
Mine was a moment of not checking tyre preasures for a year and trying to get my knee down on a round about.
Very much a fail moment.

Yeah I've been meaning to try some out, Shimano or Sidi, but most places don't tend to stock womens shoes let alone a size 3.

Did the converse survive?
No. It tore them straight out and nearly cut off the blood supply.

Jake, what pedal model is yours?

I recently replaced my cleats after many unclipping incidents and I can now skidz but spent a day or two getting the tension correct again.

This morning was a real close call.
I'm riding along near elephant with a couple of cyclists behind me and I hear a driver come revving up behind us. Immediately I'm wary and then she starts to overtake us. I see a side road on the left ahead and just as I'm approaching it I check to see the driver level with me on my right. Next thing I see her indicator start flashing and I think "oh no, surely not". She started to turn left on me and I manage to stop with a skid with her bonnet in front of me. Luckily she stopped too. It was a good job that I looked for her indicators, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stop in time.
No apology from her. She starts babbling on about something, I think claiming she thought we were turning left and that we shouldn't have been there. Cue repeated shouts of "YOU'RE RIDICULOUS" from the cyclist behind me. I tried not to swear and when I realised she was such a moron I just rode off.

was doing about 22 mph (plenty of room/visibility) coming off of elephant & castle along london road when a bus that was parked up lurched out diagonally in front of me without indicating, i shoulder check, go wide around him, see the lights where the cs7 cross the road are green for me to keep going, which i do, when 6 cyclists just wobble straight out into the middle of the road from the left attempting to jump the lights across the road (i assume one did it on purpose and the rest just followed blindly) I shout "whooooah" grab the brake, mange somehow to slalom past them and all i can think is to shout "watch before you pull out ffs"
Nodders WHY U TRY KILL ME?
