Yes, the headtube angle in the picture is all wrong. Will be a nice 74° (hopefully) once brazing starts.
Ed, I think you're on to something with the fork, but I don't think I can get that radius of bend. I expect Bates got his pre-formed at the tube factory, as his cantiflex tubes were also especially made. I'm not sure that they'd work with a more gentle angle, maybe I should get some spare blades and have a play.
