Does the £175 for the Orange include the price of the fork cause' they're worth at least £250 alone!

Dibs on Orange, PM coming over

I am not saying that you are wrong, but I would say that your assertion depends on condition and age of the fork (how old is it... how many miles have been put on it since the service?)
edit - I suspect that it is fairly old and due a service, or maybe a bargain is being offered? OP to clarify!

even if the fork needs a service, the Orange is a good price

I was not commenting on the price of the package, merely commenting on the assertion that the forks are worth *"at least £250 alone!" *
To be clear, the forks might well be, but I am assuming (maybe incorrectly) that 36 x 18 has not massively underpriced.
36 x 18 - have a free bump! The package is definitely one that is, at the very least, appealingly priced - enough to generate a lot of interest.

Sorry about the radio silence guys and gals. EBay completed listings for the P7 frame seemed to imply that it would go for about £100, or more on a good day. The forks go for similar amounts, despite being both arms and legs new. I want to get rid of both to a nice lfgsser in one hit, so, yes, possibly a bargain. Ruskibeats is first on the case with the Orange. LaurenceCardiff has tentative first dibs on the trucker, and I know him to be a good man, so I'll see how he pans out for now.
I should have clarified, the Surly is for 700c wheels. This size using 559 rims looks like a giraffe on a roller skate. And in case it all goes wrong, since the service, which was at the specialist fork people in Wales, the P7 went to the shops and back. Once. Ridden by a nun.

Is it cheeky to post a cheeky provisional second dibs on the P7 F and F pending thinking about sourcing a 15mm thru axle front wheel?
If it is too cheeky then please regard this a free bump!

Hi,
I'd like to get 2nd dibs on the surly if it's still going?
This is partially pending on a little closer look into the frame size with 700c's. I'm 6'2" with a 34" inside leg. If you have any advice on this it'd be appreciated.
Cheers,
Tom

thinking about sourcing a 15mm thru axle front wheel?
An orderly queue of dibsers is always welcome. The P7 came with Hope hubs, and the end caps on the front are the important bits. I got some 'normal' ones from UKBikestore, and I'm sure you can get the upgrade bits. If I find the old ones I'll include them in the sale, but as yet they are mislaid.
And Tomness, I'm the same height as you, and wear 34" jeans. The ins and outs of bike sizing escape me, but to give you an idea, this frame was fine, but the size down is also fine for me. I would, if having a frame made, go for a 64st, 58tt, but that may be an aesthetic thing about stem lengths.

Bump for a nice tourer.

3rd dibs on P7

P7 has gone to a good home. LaurencefromWales is uncertain, so the LHT is open season. I'll pm Tomness to see where he's standing.
These big frames have a bad history here, so I may have it for a while. It's a shame, because they ride so well, but need a 6'3" or more type to feel really happy with them.
(gratuitous bump)

Tomness, for some reason I can't pm you. Get back to me if you are feeling the need.

Bump. And a huge price drop for some lanky person. This needs to go soon.

Wow that is a cracking deal!

700c or 26"?
Oops. It's 700c

• #22
How many cms of spacers did you have on the forks? I am >6'5" and so am worried I should hold out for the 64cm version.
I don't suppose you have a spare headset for it?
Also do you have the seat clamp?

Has long road trucker sold? if not Dibs please. In sw8 can pick up today
-

Sigh. 2nd dibs. Can collect. Will pay Bank Transfer or whatever...
(I've sold these two now, thread closed, many thanks.)
I need to sell these two. The Orange may be better on Retrobike, but I'll try here first. Both are in London SW4.
LHT, officially a 62cm seat tube, which is the ctt of the top tube, not to the t of the seat tube, which is more like 64.

The top tube is 60cm ctc.

Has only done about 1000 miles if that, no dings or dents, paintwork almost perfect, all threads and faces perfect.
Three bottle cage bosses, and more eyelets than you can shake a stick at for racks and mudguards. They ride really nicely,
but I wasn't 'moved' by it, so something else is getting the components.
I'd like
£175£125 please, and really don't want to post.(Orange now sold)
Orange P7 steel hard tail frame, 21" to the top of the seat tube.
Ctc of the top tube is 23" Reynolds 631, Fox Vanilla forks with 140mm of travel, 15mm through axle.

This used to be an Orange press demonstrator, and the forks were properly serviced about a year ago before they sent it to me.
Mat-black paint is good, no dents or bends that I've come across.
The FSA headset is only useable at best. The cups are brinnelled, so factor in a new one.
The top cap of the left hand fork has bears a few scars, but I've no idea how they got there.
Again, I'd like £175, and would prefer not to post.
