  • Toddy spotted playing polo in Penryn. Was it solo or have you recruited Todd?

  • Nope. Will be discussed at the meeting tonight. 7.30 @ The Ship SE1, polo at Newt pre meeting. You are welcomed if you can make it.

  • you're a advertising model too?

  • I'd rather not discuss that in the Public forums Apollo. You are welcome to the meeting of course and if you are a member of the LHBPA you can read the boring private forums :)

  • Wait, is that just some chancer getting people to pay to turn up to throwins?

  • So LA BM stepped it up on the stats. They were recording goals, assists, dabs (foot-downs) and blocks (saves). Impressive stuff.

I think all games were filmed, even those that weren't streamed, so there should be a lot of games up on YouTube/Vimeo to watch.

    Standard was incredible. Very intense.

Essentially, yes. But for a one off taster event.

fair enough, I only posted it up incase "I saw it first".

    Everything's a repost on here!

  • A sad sight from Leipzig.

The court that was used for the tournament last week, is now under water due to major flooding in South East Germany. It started raining on Saturday during the tournament, and it seems it's basically not stopped.

They were flooded quite recently, and it caused many thousands of euros of damage, it's sad to see it happen so soon again to them, it's such a great facility.

Strange to think where we were playing is now under feet of water.

  • That's terrible! Hope the damage isn't too severe. You took the weather with you John!

    Ha!

I had polo fever and had to hit some balls in the carpark.
How'd you know this? Alfie? He was the one guy who was riding buy and stopped. Just need to recruit...

  • Love that! You done a fine job!

  • Wow, Rupert "1 in 3" with a conversion ratio of 30.51% with 18 for 59, 3rd best out of all the players.

  • Ha!

I'm the all seeing polo eye Todd....

    Yeah, it was Alfie!

  • Emmet had the only 30 second penalty of the tournament?

  • what did he do rups?

  • Yeh the stats are interesting, I'm most proud of Global winning 'best defense' and 'most dangerous 3player line' -- it's one thing saving a lot of shots, but denying the opposition the opportunity to shoot is a real triumph IMO.

Emmet a penalty was for a kamikaze, last-ditch, goal-saving, bike-flying block. It was worth it. Then Dillman and Krandall not only killed the penalty but scored whilst playing 2 v 3! IIRC

  • Top work, Mr Snoops!
    #veryproud

  • Nice one Spoons & Emmet.

Who's gonna head up the Stats Team for the EuroBM then?

  • I'd be happy to help record them for the games I'm not involved in.

  • I can do it, I'm not playing...

  • It means we need numbers on shirts and you'll need an assistant as you won't see anything. Might we worth contacting the LA peeps to ask how they did it. I know there was a three or four person team in the ref's dugout.

  • Personally, I think reffing, time keeping, recording should be done in teams of people anyway rather than just one. It was useful in Paris last year when there were separate refs and timekeepers.
