You're very much mistaken. Have a look through this thread, and through the Bike Porn thread, and you'll see that tastes here are actually quite varied and inclusive. Just because they don't include leopard-print deathtraps doesn't mean we're narrow minded.
Also, it's a fact, not a matter of taste, that there has never been a bike that looks good with any of the following: white chain, white rim(s), white tyres.
