http://bikemagic.com/video/video-the-escape-adventure-by-bike-in-bc.htmlI'll tell you this. I haven't watched a whole video in it's entirety in a long time...
This was worth triple its salt. What a goddamned great video. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for the link. -

I remember going to the Afan a couple of years ago and we stayed in these little mock wooden cabins with bunk beds, cooking facilities, etc about a mile up the road from the Centre.
I can't find a link anywhere. Can anyone help me out??

Google maps normally shows up stuff like that if you search the area.
I've just scrubbed the bike for the 1st time in 6 months, swopped the smorgasboard off the back to a slow rob again to see if I can get some rolling speed back now the front has some directional control, I got left for dead by my mates 9 year old last night...

I always camp at Glyncorrwg. I think the cabins are up at Bryn Bettws (http://www.brynbettws.com/)

Charlie The Bikemonger stayed at some kind of group-tastic chalet/bunkhouse near Afan a few months ago, saw it on his Facebook feed. Seemed happy with it. Had BBQ facilities.

Ooooof
Possibly dumb question, but do you need all that chain retention with the Shadow Plus derailleur?
-
• #4538
^^ That looks great gabes! Do you ever do a bad build?
Nice log pile too :-)

^^^Is that a stealth reverb with internal cable routing? How easy/difficult was that to install?
-
• #4540
Noice.

Dunno, the chain guide is specced with the frame, so I thought why not! Chain certainly didn't slap around this morning on some pretty gnarly rock gardens and rooty bits!

Indeed it is. Was really easy to intstall. Have to bleed the lever after re-attaching the hose, but that's a piece of piss. It comes with the bleed kit too. There's a video on SRAM's site/youtube.

X-post from CP. 29er frame with hybrid forks and 26'' wheels. Rides interestingly.
-
• #4544
Christ, what a-c are those forks!
-
• #4545
Pretty sure they're around the 380-400mm mark. So yeah, a little short.
-
• #4546
Please don't ride that. It looks lethal :-s
Do the cranks even rotate without hitting the ground...
-
• #4547
Most confused bike ever.
-
• #4548
Haha, don't worry, it's only a temporary measure. Getting some 29er forks tomorrow, so that should sort out the angles a bit. Ground clearance is currently a bit tight, but I really want to take it round Swinley in it's current form #itsnotaboutthebike

Constant downhill (crashing).
-
• #4550
If enough forumengers come to Swinley I'll ride it and not crash (much). Tuesday 18th?
Gabes, the bike is a huge success. Annie has taken to it like a natural, we went for a ride with Pigfarmer today in Longleat forest, there was nothing she could not ride over.
