The game last night was diabolical
-

Of course it was, it was akin to a Championship game, but without the passion.
England games are usually shit, the more so when they are playing a team whose style is similar.

I read about the tactical genius that is lineakr using that word cornie uses, when he wants to be all words with friends, about 2 lines of four and needing to play between the lines and not so vertical.
I thought, thanks to jwilson and Michael cox, that vertical was a good thing? Avb does it no? -

Tangental diagonals. That's the future of football. You read it here first.

I'm all over tangential diamonds on ProEvo2011.

I like how Liverpool are getting their business done quickly these days
Luis Alberto is about to join after Aspas and Toure have already been signed.
Looks like Aspas could be quite a bargain in the suarez mould without all the baggage. Alberto is a barca b player in the same mould as Xavi/Iniesta. Toure is a bit past it but good for the depth of the squad

wow, hope we leave some players for the rest of the premiershit !!
does luis spell the end for suarez ?

From the Luis Alberto Wiki
Film Career [edit]
Luis Alberto has appeared in at least a dozen Snuff Films, under the pseudonym of "Juan Gloucetra".

Where did you see that Aspas is in the same mould as Xavi/Iniesta? I've not seen him play but if rumours are true that Fabregas is on his way out of Barcelona than they wouldn't let him go. They've tried (loan) him in Barca B and can't see him step up to the first team so they decided to let him go. He's a Seville player and found wanting at Barca B.
As for Aspa - he's 25 and has had 3 full seasons in Spain of which only one was in primera division. He's running one goal every 3 games, you're scraping the barrel of European football hoping to uncover a gem. I can't see that either of these 2 players will be this.

as for Toure - will he be a direct replacement for Skittle who seems on his way out?
It looks like FSG are reining in the spending and trying a different route this time around. Either way, LFC will not achieve CL football by letting Suarez and Skittle go and what looks like replacing them with cheaper, older or less experienced alternatives.

Chalfie, didn't watch the champions league final or the England friendly but I have not become bored with football, just giving myself some breathing space before the season starts again.
Wasn't really worried about the two German teams in the final, no definite allegiance to back so left them to it..

Schurrle deal set to be announced today according to ze German media. De Bruyne to go on loan for one season in the opposite direction. Not sure what to make of it. I'd much, much rather see Lukaku given a proper chance to establish himself at the club.

Chalfie, I did watch the Champions League Final because it was on in the pub where I was eating. I also saw the friendly last night and was bitterly dissapointed when Ireland gave up trying to score a winner by putting Sammon on.

Personally, I think Lukaku needs another season on loan...

read mypost again.. Aspas<Suarez. Alberto<Xavi
Aspas is a cheap forward, apparently he'll be on 26k which is good business to my mind... we shall see I guess

Popadopolous looks like the main target, he looks good by all accounts.
Suarez might well be heading to Athletico although that's probably 1+1=3 -
