On the contrary. Another Scottish winger/striker who doesn't score goals. A bit like Chris Maguire, but not as argumentative with Our Nige (yet).

They have a history of doing shit transfers, sometimes they get it right (Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Romario)
See what I did there..
Rivaldo.
Tenderloin,
I think the Neymar transfer is about Sandro Rosell, sticking two fingers up at Madrid (if they were the other team in for Neymar), yeah he wants to sell shirts, but Barca have for as long as I've been following, gone for big names, Cruyff, Maradona, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, etc...
Neymar gives them more attacking options, and he's a long term purchase...
Well Madrid offered to pay twice as much - so that kind of makes sense.
If Madrid can get Bale for circa 60million, then I know who will have done the best out of the 2 transfers! He won't sell as many shirts but he'll be 5 x as good.I think Neymar is destined to fail and is a total media circus before he has really done that much, he'll muddle around in Europe for 3-4 years, put on 6kg then head back to the copa cabanna to fuck bitches, eat steak and do lots of coke.

How did I forget about the ballon d'or winning Rivaldo.
Basically you're saying that Neymar is going to do a Rooney/Gazza?
There's a reported £21m transfer fee being mentioned, of which Barcelona already paid more than half last year. If so it's definitely worth a punt.I'm not 100% convinced that he's going to be the next global superstar but at £21m I'd take the gamble and sign another world class CB for the remainder of the difference in transfer fees that it would have cost to sign Bale.
Barcelona have basically got €50m to spend each year on transfers, regardless of what they sell. Spending €25m on the best Brazilian striker in the world makes sense.
They'll make their money back in no-time. And if he's not Barcelona material he'll be off to Man City or some other billionaire's plaything. -

Sounds like an epic win to me.
