ha - that herne hill frame used to be mine! Good to see it back on the forum
-
• #24
It's been passed round a lot. It's a great frame, it's just a shame I installed crappy cranks on it.

Bump. Lots still left guys. Also got a bunch of free wheels over here:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread108154.htmlI'm VERY open to offers, I really need to clear this shed.
Frames wise:
Bob Jackson is provisionally sold.
Peugeot is getting picked up tonight.
RIC soldHerne Hill STILL for sale.
Pictures of all here: http://imgur.com/a/sEHRe
Prices are negotiable, particularly if you're taking more than one thing.
Pickup ideally this week as I'm off work and at home until Thursday. If all goes to plan I'll be at Herne Hill jumble this weekend. If anyone wants to share a table please let me know, I have other stuff to sell that I couldn't be bothered to list. This is just the nice(r) stuff.
Here goes then, some pricing/id'ing help with campag stuff would be helpful, so those prices are set to change if someone tells me something's worth 5 times as much. Fair's fair and all that.
nb. Forum donation will be made for any of the bigger bits.
When I specify bottles of beer I'm talking about, at the very least, Brooklyn. Cash alternative is acceptable.

(Again, PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE ON CAMPAG STUFF)
All working well. I also have a Condor threaded one that is parts only, free to anyone who needs some spares for theirs.
Chorus with slightly mashed crown race, still perfectly functional, just me getting it off with a hammer (!) http://i.imgur.com/gsAD8Q4h.jpg £25
Gran Sport (?) Fine. Bottom cup is different. http://i.imgur.com/ETO11Z9h.jpg £30
Stronglight A9 (needle bearing). I have spare washers for this, so if someone who knows more about them than me would like to point out that the washers are wrong I won't be offended (not been installed for a while). http://i.imgur.com/ZfCs0rih.jpg £18
Mystery campagnolo headset. Looks like C-Record with the square bits? http://i.imgur.com/RVHuWSH.jpg £45 SOLD

Wheels*
Touring set. 700C Mavic solid rims (A719 rear/A519 front). XT rear hub and LX front.
Bombproof I imagine. I've got half way through repacking the rear and realised that there's no point as someone might want to respace it so I've left it with bearings in and greased but not done any more.
Little to no wear on rims and front runs perfectly well.
I'll find a skewer for the rear.
Taking this into account I'm going to ask £60. (Front alone is worth around £40)

'Herne Hill' 57x57. For 27" wheels or 700c with phat tyres (as I ran it during the winter).
Weird one, this. No idea what it is but has Campy dropouts and semi wraparound seatstays. I suspect it's 531 because of the 27.2 seatpost.
Unfortunately someone painted the top tube silver, but other than that it's a lovely golden orange.
Alas, I stripped the crank thread when trying to remove it so it's stuck to the bottom bracket. I've started sawing it but I think it'd be better off with one of those automotive puller type things or taking a trip to an LBS.
The fork ends are a bit weird as well, luckyskull seemed to think it was because they're designed for old (thin) axles as the frame is straight but it requires some creative clamping/a ball bearing above the axle.
Taking all this into account, I'm after £25. I paid £50 for it on here I think, just taking £20 off for the stuck cranks.

SOLD for £20**
Peugeot 59x59. Honed from the finest carbolite 103, this lightweight beast can be yours for a couple of bottles of Brooklyn.
WENT FOR FREE
Finally, something nice!
'RIC' powder coated 50s/60s track/path frame with lovely lugs. 57x57 and for 700c with big clearances or 27" more likely.
It's going to be 531 probably, either way it's fancy - I just won't use it.
Lots and LOTS of tiny dents as would be expected from 60 or so years of use, but nothing that would stop me riding it.
I paid £100, I'd like £100 back please. SOLD SOLD SOLD
