For Sale: Midget track bike Libertas Mann 47c-c 26" wheels

Hello miserable people of lfgss. For sale is my girlfiends LIBERTAS-MANN Childrens Track Bike, Made in Belgium.

Seat tube 47 cm c-c Top tube 50cm c-c. 26" tubular wheels. Brand new tub on the rear and almost new on front.
Stronglight track cranks 50t - 165mm. Maillard hubs, Super Champion Professional rims with 18t sprocket. 3TTT bars & stem. Arius professional saddle. Campagnolo quill pedals, clips and cream straps.

The rear bridge is drilled for a brake however the forks are not. I had a bracket fabricated to recieve a fixing to the underside of the steerer tube. Pictured. I in no way certify that this is safe, however I have tested it under heavy braking with my full weight, it proved very effective. Needless to say I would not have allowed my girlfriend to ride it for 2 years if I did not consider her to be safe. Condor crosstop & campagnolo mirage calliper included.

Dates from the early 70's, Cicli HUBERT is the name of the dutch bike shop that sold it. The paint colour is extraordinary but fragile and has quite a few chips.

i'd have snapped it up for the missus if it didn't have tubular rims and had rear brake drilling :( It is perfect otherwise

Thanks for your interest. I too was dubious about the tubs and originally bought the bike minus wheels, shipped over from Belgium. After a few months of trying to find suitable 650B clinchers I gave up and got the original wheels shipped over.
It would be a real shame to spit it up again as they suit it so well. This bike is 100% original other than the sprocket, chain and pedals.
Rebecca has found the tubs no problem at all and only recently had to change them after 2 years. Junior tubs are cheap as chips too.

Way. To small for me......but what a cracking bike..great price too.................funny after all the talk on price/worth of frames /bikes on another thread, this turn up .....a real bargain for someone......good luck with the sale

How tall (short) is your girilfriend?

Shes 5'4".
She liked the fit but I would have said that this was a touch too small for her.
Here it is beside a 58cm frame.
