  • actually didn't realize owner was lurking.

    meant as trash talk really.

    apologies.

I'm not the owner, it's just that the issue had been discussed in depth previously.

  • Opinions on aluminum frames as beaters? Good or bad?

  • Winner winner chicken dinner! That's just a killer in my eyes. My knees are starting to give in and something like this is starting to look more tempting everyday. One of my favourite bikes on this thread for sure.

Thanks! that is quite the compliment!

basket is a joke. looks like it was installed on by a halfwit.

It's since been leveled out. There's really no good way to set it up without drilling the struts or buying new ones, but since the basket is temporary until I can a TCB/CETMA rack it's not worth the effort. And I can't raise the stem height since it's already at the min insertion. And it's not like I'm carrying a huge amount of weight with it anyways. It's just for small parts and pizza.

Get rid of the logo some how, in case some one sees a pricey name on it

good call. However, I guess my question was more about durability.

I think that the Wald could work just fine, I've owned a Cetma in the past, and the only thing that really sets them apart from the Wald are the struts, which can be bodged quite easily. The Cetma doesn't come with a basket either, so another plus on the Wald side. Most people need to learn from their own mistakes, but if you want to save some dosh, and have a basket that works, the Wald is the way to stay. The Cetma is no lightweight either.

  • Probably said it before but having used both, basket over rack any day of the week.

right didn't mean to be insulting as i said above. cheers.

  • Might be the angle, but the geo looks weird on that bike. BB looks hella high.

Edit: Must just be the small frame that gives that impression, but shit don't look right.

agreed, get the impression it might have originally had a front 650 fork

  • ^^ A little bit cheeky posting that here.....
