seems genuine.. 79-80ish lower end model (i think, no engravings etc)... can't find a catalogue with a good resolution to spot the model, but this one is exactly the same as yours

ah, the low end mind explain the sticker decals instead of transfers and laquer.
it does look quit a like. have gotten another detailed specimen in PMs to make me think it as an actual original.thanks guys.

I had a pair of these. The cleats has a allen bolt with a spring connecting the two half of the cleats.
Anyone have any clue what cleats these pedals are supposed to take? They are on the spinning bikes at the gym I just joined - the gym claim they are for Shimano SPDs, and they are the right sort of size but as you may be able to see from the photo, they don't have the same structure as a normal SPD pedal so they don't hold the cleat in and you just unclip to the left or right as soon as you start pedalling - there's really nothing to lock them in.
Had a look at previous SPD pedals (the bikes were bought in 2003 seemingly) but nothing seems to fit this spec...

what model is this Peugeot, with Reynolds 531?

^^ It's the hoods, very Modolo. Plus the silver bit on the front of the rh lever is where the M for Modolo would be on the professional model. Could be v wrong too.
you were right! modolo mach 3 brakeset, some shimano 600 parts, frame has some colnago leafs on it, but thats about it.. columbus tubing, i suspect some unknown italian export builder

C-Record period Record cranks, but with +1995 logos.
According to the seller they are 180mm and don't have the integrated extractors.
Had a look through catalogues and spare parts brochures, but can't find what they are...

The only markings on the gears/derailer is "Huret", sticker on the frame has a logo (possibly Huret also, see below) and says "Made in England".
No frame number under the bottom bracket, just an "S", presumably for small.
Any help much appreciated.
NB The pannier rack is not original (obvs).
Thanks

Is it not part of the Raleigh family?

Good spot!
I'll have a Google of old Raleigh bikes and try to work out what it is.
Thanks!

That chainset with rivetted guard was used in the lower end Raleigh racers from around 1978 to 1981? when cotterless mostly took over.

I'm not sure this Campagnolo SR seatpost (120mm) has its original length.. although there are some 'Short Editions' around on the bay and some other shops, i don't find any info on velobase etc on 'short edition' seat posts. Anybody?

I've got one that looks exactly like that on my Benotto. I wonder whether it has been cut down, because it doesn't say limit on it anywhere. However, the fluting is shorter than normal, so it might have been made that size. Mine looks very neat at the bottom, so if it has been cut down it's been done very well.

• #3243
Here's a crap pic - I'm going to get another because there is not nearly enough post inserted in that pic to be sensible.
-
• #3244
Thanks, yours also has a polished upper part? Mine also doesn't have the limit mark, so that is why i'm in doubt about the originality of the post. the edge of the bottom is very nice beveled and looks 'original' somehow.
-
• #3245
Yes, the whole upper part is polished (except the clamp). Mine has exactly the same bevel on the end but I don't have a full-length post to compare it with. I got that one from Hilly Ben on here, so maybe he/she can tell you more...

One does not simply cut down a Super Record seat post

Been eyeing this up because I am in love with the colour. Texted advertiser who says the frame has half a name - gb cesson. Googled with no decent results - don't suppose anyone might know anything about the frame builders, even the rest of the name? Heh

Any ideas regarding the pantograph on this fork?
first guess would be colner, but the logo is a bit different from the usual.. although they no are not very consistent, there are several variations..
manufacturers tend to panto their own name rather than the specific model. Can't think of any exceptions off-hand - Need to look for a builder who branded bikes "Super"...
