YouTube CCTV of my stolen beater

Hi All,

So on Monday (20/05/2013) night (actually 2:25am Tuesday morning) my beloved beater was nicked from inside my flat premises. The bike wasn't much, just a beater, but these d*cks might have stolen more from our area in the last 3 weeks.

I'll add pics of the bike (incase anyone notices it around) after this post.

Check out the CCTV footage I cobbled together and posted on YouTube to see them stealing it....maybe someone might notice them. It was stolen from near Hoxton Square.

were the police very interested in the CCTV etc?

And yes, maybe surprisingly, the police loved the CD I gave them with pictures of the bike and the CCTV footage...were you not expecting them to?

lettiemarsh....I don't suppose your friends had a bike nicked in the last 3 weeks have they? Apparently 3-4 bikes have gone from this building in a pretty short time.

sorry to hear about the nicked bike. why were they spinning it round? was it a wire lock?

It was D-lock attached to a wall mounting, the kind that people hang off to clean windows. They were spinning it around to remove the mount from the wall, to unscrew it. I should have seen that you could do that...idiot!

why do they come back?

how are they gonna get the d-lock off after they've nicked the bike? not sure many yoot have access to an angle grinder.

I've still got emails from my most loved bike being stolen, it's heart breaking. Good luck with that, maybe invest in some IED tripmines.
