• I am about to move house and have to say goodbye to this frame and forks, part of a project I never had time to complete.

The frame is in great condition, straight and with no cracks.
I has been repainted by Mario Vaz a couple of years ago, and has been kept in storage ever since.

Seat tube is 57cm center to top.
Top tube is 57cm center to center.
Rear wheel spacing is 120 cm.
    Made of Reynolds 531 tubing.
    Takes a 27.2mm seat post.

    NOW SOLD (for £270)

  • Sexy...

  • You regret selling your white Holdsworth eh TS?

    A bargain.

No mudguard eyes on the fork?

  • So nice. I thought the same about the eyelets.

  • I just double checked, and no, couldn't find any eyelets for the mudguards on the forks.

  • just wonderful, too big for me alas :(

  • Look OK ish, but why sid you say who the paint sprayer is Mario has bad reviews all over this site and on bikeradar, shame as it will proably need a repaint soon. How much was the paint job as this site suggests he is very cheap and it chips easy.

  • just wonderful, too big for me alas :(

    gotta be worth £200?

  • Some of the negative opinions about Mario's work are a little out of date. It's hard to tell from the pics, but you may be better off with this one. And he is cheap, so having it redone is not such a massive PITA.

    Every day... :(

  • Colnago_Costa has no issues with Mario [he gets loads of frame painted by MV] and the frame he did for me was fine...the thing is to let the frame cure for at least four weeks after spraying to allow the paint to harden.

PS: Lovely frame sadly too big for me...possibly the forks are not the original ones or someone in the frame's past has chopped them off?

  • Lovely frame, but just out of interest It would be nice to know the build year,
do you have the frame No.

This one cured for a year and a half, so it should be OK now.
Mario resprayed quite a few frames for me and my mates, and we've always been happy with his work.

I can't read the frame number I'm afraid.
I remember one being stamped on the forks steerer, but I don't have the heart to remove the headset.

  • thats lush...

And Marios work is incredible for the money...And like has already added...You need to let the paint cure good and hard before you build them up or ride them, the paint that is available now (when compared to 10 years ago) takes ages to go hard, and isn't half as durable as the old higly poisonous stuff...(tho good news for Marios Lungs...;D)

  • Dibs. Will PM you this afternoon.

  • Frame now sold to the gentleman above.
Good luck with your project mate, I'm already missing it !
