So i was riding single speed using one of the rings on the cassette (bad idea?) on Carlton Corsa. Anyway for some reason the axle bent causing the wheel to wedge into the chainstays causing a bad crash. Anyway is there any reason as to why the axle just gave way? do i need to get a new hub with just one cog or just replace the axle and the bearings?
Also there was always a problem with the tyre clearance of the chainstays where it would always rub against the frame. Do i need to get a new thinner set of wheels?
Finally as you can see in one of the photos the chainset and the casette seem to be off angle. is the frame bent?
