I had a bit of a Stedlocks moment myself last night...
I went to pick up a pair of wheels for the Roberts TT bike above and was welcomed into the sellers garden strewn with 90's MTB's. I checked the wheels and admired the little rubber skewer grips making a comment about the Milremo brand being an attempt by a chap called Ron to sound sexy and European. He apologised that road bikes weren't his thing and explained that the wheels came on a cheap road bike from which he'd sold the bits he'd identified as valuable.He then said I'd be saving him a trip to the tip if I took the remaining bits off his hands, namely a frame (which I believe to be a Percy Stallard Special Zakopane due to Stallard Dropouts and SZ-serial# prefix), an SR fluted seatpost, Baliss-Wiley BB, TDC Headset, and a rather elegant Fiamme bar and stem combo.
The frame is way to small for me and poorly refinished in a girly pink colour, but my eldest daughter has bagsied it! Forks aren't original but are a rather fetching pair of Cinelli-esque chrome jobs! - Photos to follow -

Probably the original headset (TDC??) - bit of overspray on the cups!! Lovely Cinelli-esque crown on the (non-original) forks
The headtube lugs are probably the easiest feature to get an ID from... here's another shot.
There's also a slightly odd braze-on just below the settube lug, perhaps it's for a cable wheel thingy...
This Stallard has serial# SZ80576
But this one sold by Hilary is a much more positive match.

Just to tidy up the earlier discussion on brake lever hoods - repair and replacement.... rive gauche's kind offer of levers turned out to be non-period correct, so I've decided to stick with the red-dot Weinmann's with slightly perished hoods and if they do fall apart I'll repair them with Shoo Goo which it turns out is available in a Natural latex colour. I spotted a blog in which a chap has repaired his Sidi's with the same...
To avoid leaving a dead end trail to anyone else looking to restore Weinmann-levered-classic-lightweights here are the remaining findings from my research.....
NOS Lever Hoods.
Apart from ebay where they occasionally show up, the best places I found for these hoods are both in the US.
Cycles deOro sell them for US$50
Bikeville for US$30-40 depending on the size of hole!NOS Levers complete with Hoods
These are a bit of a bargain at €30 - help the Greek debt crisis.Repro Hoods
Your man Robbie Fellows doesn't cook Weinmann repro's (Presumably they're not worth bothering with at $50 a pop when you can buy a complete NOS Lever for €30) - But if you're looking for Campag, Universal or Modolo then go in search of him - easiest place is Classic Rendezvous.
As far as I know he moulds them using PU Foam
There's someone in Japan moulding Weinmann knock-offs but I can't find anyone selling them.Lastly if you're just looking for comfort and not bothered about period corectness, you could try [=49&difficulty=3&team_sugru=&search=&starter=0"]this stuff!](http://sugru.com/gallery/?context_ids[) or if you're a fan of sesame street get felting.

I had a Benotto once - at least I think it was (had a triumph sticker on the Top tube but took an italian BB and was a metallic blue/white fade) - Rode it across the pyrenees in 2000 and then shortly afterwards I got hit by a Mazda on the humpback bridge between trowbridge and bradford-on-avon - trashed the wheels and bent the TT chainstays, seatstay and LH crank arm and smashed a campag record pro-fit pedal in half. We dug a shallow grave at sham castle and buried it one saturday evening. Legend has it that if you pass on a still night you can hear the faint whirr of a regina freewheel and the click of a pro-fit pedal

Yeah, it's got loads of funny lumpy bits stuck onto it that need to come off and then I'll probably cold set the rear down to 120mm for track wheels. Armourtex matt black and then 'The Eagle of Tachira' on the downtube in pink Dosnoventa font.
I think that I'm going to have to do nasty things to my Dave Russell to liberate gears and brakes sadly. I have been amusing myself this evening proving that a fridge magnet won't stick to the Ti axles of some cheap SR pedals I acquired. -
As I said above - Hijacks positively encouraged - great shot, but I think you need to explore some alternatives....

Where else but LFGSS do you get campag pedals on Espresso chainsets, and to finish things off - toestrap pulls - a pedal is not fully dressed without a pull - See also the pengy tribute in an alternative guise

Well it was either the 3000 or some silly wheels for the Argos. I'm ashamed to say that the decision took me quite a long time.
