Starting to get a bit of issues with my rear brake, it releases from the rim fine, but won't go all the way out, so there is slack in the cable (I'm assuming as this is the case its not a cable issue)
I've looked at the Shimano tech docs, but just wondered if anyone had any experience/advice on if its worth it (looks like lots of fiddly parts)
iIf you do not fancy taking it apart, apply light oil to the pivot points and work the brake to move the lubricant into the bearing surfaces.

Yep. Pull it apart or get a new one I'd say

As said, a bit of oil on the pivot points should help it.. Might just be binding a little

What type of shimano brake is it? If it is a dual pivot calliper because if so you can loosen off the pivot bolt with a 4mm allen key and use a 10mm for the nut at the back.
