There was a very angry guy heading south down Albion Road and Essex Road in black tights/grey top on a black road bike this morning who seemed to have a real problem with anyone else on the road he encountered. Just on this short stretch I witnessed a pedestrian who was abused for crossing the road, then various gestures directed at a driver for no apparent reason, who he then tried to overtake as the car was clearly indicating to overtake a bus, and obvs found that suddenly there was no room. He then could not wait for a guy to finish transporting a forklift trolley across the road and made an "I'll teach you a lesson" close pass by a ped crossing the road. He then turned off my route and my experience of the Ride of Rage was over.
This chap needs to chill out. He might be in a hurry and think he has supreme right of way over everything but is guaranteeing himself an accident by seeking to make things more dangerous than they need to be, apparently to prove a point. Any of the issues he was getting uppity about could be easily predicted and avoided just by looking at what was happening on the road and responding accordingly. Despite the aggression, undertaking, abuse and selfishness, he didn't get anywhere faster than me. He was also damn slow for someone giving it the beans.
However, he didn't jump any lights. Well done.
