Seen Today (SUNDAY) on brick lane...
70's bianchi..quite nice...celeste green...columbus ...not gas pipe...mixture of parts tho stronglight cranks, NR front brake, campag hubs on mavic rims...
Also...Colnago...90's loud paint job...mirage 8 speed gruppo...was told it was bought in west london this morning for £50....
We really need to go down there and buy these bikes ...
the bianchi went for £50...I told the woman that bought it it was probs stolen and she just shrugged her shoulders...english wasn't her mother tongue...
we need to try to buy them or others that turn up...it's not really going to encourage them they are fucking incorrigible as it is.....at least if the forum has them there is a chance we can reunite them with the owners, it's hardly handling stolen goods if we are trying to give them back to the rightful keepers?
I felt sick not being able to get them and try to return them...
and even more pissed of the the Cycle F*cking task force...aren't there every fucking week doing something...
WTF???? are they for...It drives me wild ...what the fuck do they do on sunday mornings? why are they not on brick lane as a matter of course...
We managed to get my mates bike back 3-4 weeks ago....it was stolen on outside the premises rehearsal on saturday night...within 8 hours it was stripped and about to be painted black...we got to them before the painting started...
We should complain on mass it's totally fuking ridiculous...the amount of obviously stolen shit there this morning was ludicrous.
Oliver..regardless of what the thief wants...they will get it...it's us that are getting mugged off in this situation...I would have happily shelled out today on the bianchi...
If it wasn't pinched...we can offer them to people that have had them pinched...at least something proactive.,..the police are seeming to be bloody useless...
why wouldn't they be down there all the time knowing it's going on..it's as tho they have an interest in not getting involved...they are happy enough to chase people up and down the street handing out tickets for 60 quid in angel for RLJ...tho not for catching bike thief scum red handed?
