^ Lovely! Spent first May weekend near Ashford, really gorgeous time of year to see Kent, a county I'm not really familiar with beyond Bexley. Bluebell woods and lambs and big trees breaking out into greenery. Although to me the roads, even the lanes, seemed fast and busy.
Yesterday set off late and did Bishops Stortford - Cambridge with my other half - who hadn't been on a bike for well over a year (almost two, I think) and hadn't been running (his usual thing) since last summer. It's a lovely quiet route, and since a few weeks ago everything is out in flower, particularly pretty hawthorn. The LITTLE LONDON sign is on the corner of a field of blooming "future diesel" (the smell is quite overwhelming at the mo) - would be a great spot for a forumers photo.
