If it's exactly the same shape as the B17, I think they're onto a winner (look very Regal like, the saddle, not the person).

Ha, yes. This. And because of that it's the first Brooks I've been remotely interested in. The textured finish looks quite interesting too. Almost tweed-ish.

Sounds like a way to produce a new product with lower production costs that can still be sold at a premium. The fact that they're branding it as "vegan" clinches it.

There is.

The main factor is that I could not get on with any of the plastic saddle out there, the B17 remain my most comfortable saddle, the other are simply my least uncomfortable one.

This is why I'm a little excited by the idea of the C17, the idea that it have a similar feel/shape of the B17 without looking like a retrogrouch* appealed greatly.

*still look like one with gumwall tyres anyway.

Believing this gives me a lot of unhealthy satisfaction whenever I am looking at my hed3.

Hope they do a more swallow-like style - I like the organic surface and if it is that grey colour it could look great on a black or white steel build with new components.

Looks like it still has proper saddle loops for proper saddle bags though.

I'm not bothered about the vegan aspect at all..... It's a nice new perch that I'll put a few miles on and review.... And it'll be another different brooks for my collection!

Just in time for a 3 day tour of Ireland, starting in the morning!

It oozes Brooks quality......haters gonna hate, etc, but I'd buy it for the fact that my leather Brooks won't get wet and shitty.

There is mention in the accompanying bumpf that they are to release up to 10 different models though. First impressions are that it is very good though.....I'm off to Ireland for a few days tomorrow, and am using this on my 29er....I feel very confident that I won't develop a mangina!

You just might get to test how waterproof the padding is too, we've had some pretty torrential rain the last couple of nights, days have been clear though.
