Try rotating the top half of the rail clamp 180* as this affects the angle slightly....

any links to online distributors or just look on the bay?

Think I found cheapest price trawling google shopping, was got 3 different sized wheels and 2 little blocks of polishing compound.

If polishing aluminium ideally you want the alu specific compound (didn't come with the set) I can't remember what colour it is but a bit of googling should tell you.
