He has got you there though. The tour winner's highlight of the season was a win in the Criterium International. Then he was poor at the Dauphine, and rubbish at the Tour.
Strangely like other BMC top guns.
Then he carried on being rubbish until he called it quits on the season citing an unamed virus that was so bad it was still affecting his early season in 2013. Then suddenly he's decent in Trentino and back to his best in the Giro.
