A bit unfair to say that he's got the yips on descents-he won the tour last year after all! Seems more a momentary lack of confidence and not being at 100 percent than a permanent affliction.
I'm wondering whether he'll want to start the tour rather than if he'll be allowed-if he's not team captain and with the prospect of being Froome's bitch for 3 weeks and watching him on the podium, then chilling for 3 weeks and working towards the Vuelta might be more attractive and Froomey would probably rest easier too...
