I actually think that's a better option, and Brad could use the Vuelta to build for the Worlds and the TT. But I think Brad is limited as a climber and worse has got the yips on the descents. With Yates in his ear he might have got over them but in a 3 week stage race it's been exposed as a fatal flaw in his armoury.
Mind you he won't be racing in conditions like that there.
Problem for Sky is marketing: they need Wiggins at the tour. The tour will want Wiggins at the Tour. First two names on the list will be him and Froome.
