Road bike recommendations

I quite fancy getting shot of my Orbea Onix road bike (as I hardly ever use it, and the intention to start doing sportives etc never really materialised) and getting something a little more 'classic' - probably steel - and a bit more 'do it all' - for commute/the odd long ride/general and 'fun'

recommendations? Genesis? All City?

For a steel road bike, The Kona Haole looks nice.

Personally, if I was only interested in tarmac use, I look to get a nice audax bike. Rouke 853 comes to mind.
