1 & 2. On Old Kent Road heading towards Elephant, I saw 2 people cycling slowly, not my business, I over took them safely, they caught up with me at the next red light, they start talking behind me. The guy: "what's the point of cycling so fast if you are going to stop at the the red light." The woman mumbled in response. They obviously wanted to have a chat with me about why I stoped at the red light and why I was going so "fast". (I was going no faster than my usual speed, they were, however, going probably 5mph). The guy they came up next to me and said "I am sorry to cycle so slow, it's my first bike... Sorry if we were in your way." I paid no attention because I couldn't care less and they weren't in my way. A the green light came on, he turned 45 degree to cut right in from to fame and slowed down even further. A message to this awesome gentleman : you might have all day but I don't.
I was cycling on the CS8, stopped at the red light at the junction of, I think, the end of Millbank, beginning of Cheasea Embankment, it was about half 4, rush hours had began, busy junction, sunny weather, I was amoung maybe half a dozen of cyclists waiting patiently at the red light, this lady on a Brompton was about half a meter next to me, we were both happy. All of a sudden, this twat roadie fucker zoomed up from nowhere, forced half his bike into the gap between myself and the Brompton lady. He gave me bike and my fashion sense that "look". Yes I wear jeans and t-shirt when I cycle, so what? A the green light came on, instead of waiting for both myself and the Brompton lady to go first, he took a swerve at me, practically pushed me out of the blue lane. I know the is a reason why I hate roadies.
On my way back from West London, heading pass Elephant, took the back street CS7 lane, was waiting amoung about 12-15 cyclists at that forever waiting crossing Newingtom Butts, I was amoung one of the last in the queue, and everyone in front of me took a right turn, but I needed to go straight ahead, red ought was coming on, I was stuck behind a queue, there wasn't much I could do, red light was coming on for us, green light wasnt quite on yet from traffic on Newington Butts, and there was this twat who decided to pedal straight into me, luckily I managed to remain balance on my bike, but it was close. His action resulted in many shocked faces on th road...
My award goes to number 3 - yes you do know how to cycle, no you are not slow and no I don't doubt you have excellent cycling skills, but have some manners.
4 cyclists today really worth my mention:
