Can nobody give me a rough estimate ?

I'm not aware of that many British builders going in for panto, unless it was the "it's behind you variety" in which case I think we invented it.
But seriously, a semi-chromed blue 531 frame shouldn't be that much if you aren't too particular. £200+ all the way up to new Mercian prices maybe?
Have a think about lugs. There are lots of British bikes with lovely lugs.
For a couple of months now i've had a project envisaged in my mind that I'd love to get sorted out as soon as I can lay my hands on the necessary funds.
As somebody born into an English household in Germany I'd love to have a bike that reflects this.
What I'm looking for is a 531/531c frame sized 58-60 made by a British manufacturer (Raleigh, Bob Jackson, Mercian.. you get the drift and I'm aware there will be price discrepancies here) in navy blue and ideally with a chrome fork + rear end.
I have pretty much settled on the colour and will probably respray the frame in order to get the colour I want (probably RAL 5011).
Since I plan on respraying, a pantographed frame would be great, since this adds additional charm and also because it makes the frame maker's identity verifiable. Furthermore, this means that the frame's paintwork does not need to be in perfect condition.
In order to plan my budget, I'd like an estimate of how much this would set me back.
Cheers!
