I know Bob Jackson do. Mercian serial numbers are pretty easy to decipher though, and I'm 99% certain it's one of theirs. It's just that 1% niggle.

I rang them up and they said they'd have a look at it if I sent it over and didn't mention fee, so I think it might be BJ you're thinking of.

That could be true. Mercian ones are just two digit year, 1 digit builder and then 3 or 4 others I think.
