I'm in the market for a new wheelset, I've been riding a cheap set (weinmann Dp18 rims on Quando hubs) for the last year, and they are doing the job, but I want something a bit quicker, and honestly a bit nicer looking.
I've been offered a set of wheels at a good price, goldtec hubs (i hear very good things) but they're laced to Mavic A719s. I've heard that these are very heavy and wide, and that they will probably undo the good done by have quicker hubs...
anyone got experience of using these classic touring rims on a fixed gear built for riding fast in the city?
