  Smooth as anything.

1. Record Italian thread
  A bit of resistance, I'm not sure whether this is normal for these. Not gritty in the slightest.
  This is one of the 'triple bearing' types.

2. Chorus Italian thread.
  Absurdly smooth. Managed to snap off the bit that says 'Chorus' on it on the edge of the drive side. Purely cosmetic.
