Ways not to lock your bike

No attitude here. Was just stating that creates arnt all that bad. Its a good atarting point for many. And yes, the search function is very useful. No matter how you lock a bike, if someone wants it that bad they will get it unfortunately.

This. They are not a good starting point. Perfectly possible to buy a cheap but safe and better designed bike.

If you replace most of the vital components right away, you're closer to a good starting point - but then it's no longer cheap, so why bother?.
