What has the Tom Ritchey logo to do with the Rossin logo on the drop-outs?
-
• #4
good question, anyone know anything about this?
-
• #5
I've got Ritchey dropouts on my Roberts, all depends which dropouts the maker uses....
-
• #6
Loads of bikes built with Ritchey dropouts. Columbus provides the tubes.. Ritchey the dropouts .. nothing strange about that

Why is there a wolf on the fork? Is that a Rossin logo?
worried, North London
-
• #9
I've been trying to work that out. All I know is that these are the forks that match the frame, and colours and artwork match up exactly.
I think it's a bear..
-
• #10
nah i think it's the wolf of roma, getting sucked by the ceasar bro's ;)
edit: though very vague und not sure.. start the dig :oupdate ritchey drops:
Other: Mobilvetta - Trentini Formaggi team boss Stefano Giuliani was once European masters MTB champion; thus his predilection for Ritchey components? Many pro teams use the Ritchey seatpost because of its unusual 2mm extra setback.

£ 350 for used frame no maching fork?
-
• #13
Agreed, I bought a Rossin Performance from BLB for £300 (matching fork, nearly-new, etc).
-

It is a matching fork, this is an ex-team bike from SAB so whoever had the frame made would have specified certain parts that they liked. I will take closer photos of the fork and frame to show you how perfectly the colour and artwork matches.
This frame is pretty much in NOS condition, barely a scratch or dent on it. If you look at the photo of the same frame on BLB it has some large scratches on it and they are asking for £450.
Open to sensible offers, if not then I'll whack it on the bay and see what happens

Does anyone know anything about the bear/wolf logo? I know a fair bit about these bikes but this is beyond me.

just uploaded a closeup of frame and fork artwork for anyone who's interested

This is one of my Rossins.
It is in Festina-Lotus 1993 original colours with original forks.
Columbus Genius racing materialThe forks of the for sale frameset are certainly not original matched.

Thats a lovely looking bike.
I thought I was buying a complete frame, especially since the colour match is perfect and the artwork matches, however, based on this is seems this may not be the case. I cant find anything out about the bear/wolf logo, it's a mystery to me. I'm going to keep researching this, I think the origin of this frame is from the SAB team.

Price drop to £300 but will consider offers, otherwise this is going onto the bay this weekend

Interested in this Rossin frame and wondered if you still have it and what this price is now, with inland postage? Thanks.

I'm away at a wedding this weekend so haven't had a chance to list it. I'd accept £290 (posted) for frame and fork but can't go any lower than that. I could post on Monday.

Update: forks match the frame (artwork) but are not Rossin, I don't know what brand they are, but willing to offer a discount based on this. You can replace the forks with columbus genius forks for around £120 or, if you're lucky, a rossin front fork, but I think these are hard to find. So I'm willing to accept offers on this frame.
Could also fit a carbon front fork, columbus make some excellent and well priced carbon forks (columbus tusk) that are listed for £60 on ebay
