One to hold the bits in place, one for the spanner, and the third for my Punk Dog.
Look, I'm not sure, but I always find them a pain to do anything with. I always had to take them entirely apart to do anything with them - well, to change the seat, and then there are loads of pieces to reassemble and I always end up marking the saddle with the spanner that you need to slide up the side.
