Cheers bud, it's a great story... I've had an eye out for a Dayton elite for a while after missing out on one last year and the fact that they are seldom seen.... There are not more than 3-4 anywhere on the web that I have found. It was late at night, and I was just checking emails before going to sleep (as the wife and daughter were watching essex chavs, or another PMTV show!), and I thought I'd check eBay saved searches quickly, as you do. This popped on with a very reasonable but it now.... I'm always on the look out for these bottles and I pulled the trigger without really checking it. The one picture wasn't very good anyway. When I picked it up from Aylesbury, the old chap told me that his dad had bought it for him new in 1947! He has ridden thousands of miles on it, and only stopped last year when he was knocked off.

I'm going to strip and clean it first, with all the ally bits getting a good polish. The chrome on the lovely durax chainset is virtually gone, as it is on the front fork.... I don't know quite what to do with that... I'm thinking rub it back and see what I'm left with
