Coming from a long line of foul-mouthed South London 'geezers', the words smug and c@*nt go together like rhubarb and custard, and therefore, used far too flippantly. I found the act of informing me what something wasn't rather than what it is rather unhelpful. This, I wrongfully deduced, bordered on a level of smugness that rankled me somewhat, resulting in my distasteful comment. I'm sure you're neither smug, nor a C-word, as attested by the comments of your fellow forum regulars.
