  • ^^^ awesome even down to the ironic saddle angle

Having ridden one every day this last winter, I think I'm right in saying that the only thing less comfortable than a plastic kashimax aero is a plastic kashimax aero at a jaunty angle.

  • LOL those good old times,
seeing this pic brings back my memories :')

  • Not quite.
Sugino didn't make groupsets, they made bits for suntour's groupsets.... The rear mech on that bike for example is the aRX4300.

    nerd :-)

  • I was wrong and V&N was absolutely right - there was a Sugnio 75 Road Groupset. I stand corrected (not to mention chastened).

    [NERD_VOICE]
From 1969 until early 90’s Sugino was part of the JEX group (Japan Bicycle Parts Manufacturers Group for Export Promotion) along with SunTour, Dia Compe etc
SunTour acted as the locomotive in the JEX group, designing groupsets and sourcing the brakes from Dia Compe, the chainset from Sugino etc. etc..

The Sugino 75 was a symbol of power and success, it was part of the Sugino 75 groupset, produced to celebrate Sugino’s 75th anniversary. The derailleur is a beautiful Suntour Superbe Pro in slight disguise.
The Sugino VIC was a symbol of desperation and imminent disaster. By the early 1990’s SunTour was in complete meltdown. With the JEX group effectively dead, Sugino decided that it had to take matters into its own hands and produce a derailleur. The result was the VIC, a wildly innovative and slightly crazy design, but unfortunately it did not turn out well.

Point taken, I'll get my coat.

The pelizzoli is one of many copies of the early 90's C'dale track frames.

  • And probably the best. And the most expensive.

I do really like the Superbs too

No doubt a rep, but just for comparison

  • ^ Very good - is that a stripped flite? anyone know what/whose it is?

andy's or somebody from fgl bunch I think. I dont think the flite is stripped.
he wants people to guess, what frame it is - I have no idea, but it might be interesting to know, especially if the ht is 1 1/8.

  • ^ Very good - is that a stripped flite? anyone know what/whose it is?

Don't know what it is but I know it's Andypancakes, came from the FGL blog - 1000archangles beat me to it!

It could potentially be the new Brother frameset, they are releasing something steel with 1 1/8th head tube.

Looking at the dropouts though I'm guessing it's not.

  • ^^I thought it may be AE's due to integralter
re: Framebuilder - I thought for a mo it may be that one of Ted's from a while back.
It ain't but I thought I'd repost it anyway cos it's ace.
    o:

  • Well brothers are working one some new track frames so I guess it could be.

  • I recon it's a Victoire or a Ted James

  • Any of you chaps ordered from track supermarket before? Been waiting two months on rotor cranks and been told it will be at least another spanish month before they arrive in the uk! Poor. Anyways, want black sugino 75 with black zen and reckon thats the best priced place to get them.

  • I think there's a thread in general about that site....
