Any chance of some more photos...
Pedal threads and area around, tapers. BB Cup bearing surfaces and axle bearing surfaces. And particularly drive side crank arm meeting spider. Prone to cracks there. Can be filed out sometimes to stop them propagating but not always.
I'm only tentatively interested so if too much hassle no bother. I reckon photos of the above would enhance your chance of a sale though.
Many thanks indeed.
ps. Is the Williams ring an 1/8th inch?

I can put some more pictures up this evening. All threads are in good condition and I'm aware of the cracking issue and there is no sign of that on these. also the lot is now for sale for £160

Cool. It's definitely a really good price, particularly complete with the BB. I'd jump at it but have a frame in getting a headtube repair. I'll wait to check out the photos and mull it over and count my pennies! If an email address is easier for photos just drop me a pm.

Chainring looks pointy as hell / worn to me.
Suggest cleaning the parts up and getting better pictures, decent gear requires decent pictures. Suggest BB races too, clean em and shoot em.

Yes I concede that the williams rings in particular do come pretty damn point as standard + the dirt made it looked totally fucked to me, so yeah its not as worn as I though, but it still does have visual wear over a new one.
Best way to check is to put a brand new chain wrapped 2/3 the way around it and see if you can get any gappage when you lift the chain in the centre of the ring. -

well I'm glad you cleared that up for us... I had never claimed that the ring was nos, unlike the one you are comparing it to.
on other news, the chainset should be going to carol pending payment.
