OK i've done a fair bit of polishing recently (no inuendos please matron!!) and using the right combo of abrasives, stems take about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 to get to a high polish finish. In my opinion, far superior to anodising anyway (that's far quicker hence big comps do it) because what magpie can resisit a shiny bit af alu but who am i to say. But let's face it (as i have to at my cost in time), you can saturate the value of something for little return and only the eventual paying recipient glows in the dark! Live and learn baby!!!!!
Get the true value by putting it on the dock of the Bay
