From outside of my house in SE4 last Friday. A Pearson IMNOTANUMBER. It is only a few weeks old. It has several upgrades including Chris King Hubs with H+ Son rims, Garmin mount and a Fizik Saddle. Any information leading to its recovery will be gratefully received as insurance is not an option so recovery of this bike is a priority. Please share with other bike friendly people.
It is listed in BikeSHD, stolen-bikes etc. I'm scanning all the usual sites and will be visiting markets galore over the coming weeks.

Ouch - someone cut it off from the lampost that quickly?
-
• #10283
That's 2 minutes from me. I have a spare lock on me - will use it if I spot it.

• #10284
Thank you - such a pain. It is pretty distinctive. I have been flying around looking for it, will keep looking to see if it's been locked up nearby.

• #10285
Was it locked? What with? It's helpful to share details with the forum to keep up to date with the "locks that work thread"
-
• #10286
Had a combi lock on it - sorry I can't remember the make. Lock was new, cost about 40 quid.

The number of times this happens where its locked up for just a few minutes shows you the coverage and number of boltie cropping muppets there are about the place, must be at least 500 of them at any one time within London

Hi there,
I had my Roberts road bike stolen on Saturday 13th from outside Swiss Cottage library at 2pm. I don't know what I was thinking but I only used a cable lock to secure it, leaving the d-lock I normally always use at home.
Here's a description of the bike. Sadly I don't have any photos, but I should be getting some soon from the original owner, along with the frame number.
Steel frame, size 54cm, red paint with white roberts decals. R logo embossed on the top of the forks and seat stays.
Black Chris king Threaded headset
Ritchey drop bars with cannondale own brand stem, tektro brake levers, white and blue bar tape. Cross top lever on right as well.
Shimano 600 cranks, rx100 downtube levers, front mech and rear mech. 12 speed.
Campagnolo wheels with continental 4 seasons tyres.
White fizik arione saddle on black seatpost.
Unbranded front brake with ashima brake pads, weinmann rear brake.
Truvativ flat pedals.Thanks
Finally found a photo of it. Some different components on it from when the photo was taken, but the frame is very distinctive and is very recognisable.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Any one seen it?

hippie/ tramp on a white and blue Trek road bike with what looked like an Ultegra groupset, speedplay pedals, spinergy front wheel (?) @ 2.15PM intersection of Tower Bridge Road and Grange Road.

Saw a kid trying to grow a beard on a Silver Coppi yesterday. Assumption aside, I reckon he'd nicked it (as he was cycling away from Elephant train station and took a minute to get used to the gears). Dressed in grey tracksuit pants and hoodie. He sped off pretty quickly when I went over to challenge him...
*he was trying to grow the beard on his chin, not the coppi itself

Prayed I'd never have to post in this thread but sometime over the past 3 days my storage unit was broken in to and 2 bikes were nicked. A black stevens s8 elite and a trek 4300. Stevens is very rare in the UK, been in a filthy shed for years so covered in dirt, oxygen branded components and lx+ xt components. Trek is blue and silver, I'd just spent hours cleaning it ready to sell :( Hayes mechanical brakes, bontrager Jones tyres, rst forks which squeak when compressed. Also some hope mono hydraulic brakes, literally bought them off ebay last week:( the rear had a stripped thread and the bastards took the metal bracket I'd spent hours machining to adapt my Cannondale for discs. They left my cannondale thankfully. I'm only 18, never had a bike stolen before, horrible feeling.

I think I saw that Pearson on Sunday I was riding back from Croydon to Rotherhithe.
I think it was in Catford or Lewisham but can't remember unfortunately, I only remember at all because it was pulling out of a side street and I wondered what frame it was due to the lairy decals.
I'm 99% sure it is the one above, especially as now knowing it was something of quality the rider certainly didn't fit.

I've PM'ed you Mustard. I'd be interested in anything else you can remember.
Having now spent considerable time perusing ebay/scumtree/yourLOOT etc I can safely say a good 15-20% of stuff sold looks dodgy as fuck.
