  • BANK HOLIDAY PRICE DROP - £370 for an as new King of Mercia.

After much faffing around and deliberation I'm putting my King up for sale. I bought it a couple of years ago with a stuck post and built it up as a fixed bike for a little while. I finally sent it back to Mercian to remove the post and while there got it resprayed too. It came back a couple of months ago and is just sitting there and I can not see myself building it up.

Pictures are below, it is out of the box fresh in terms of paint and so pretty much mint condition. Since I got it back I've only had it out to take the pictures

I'd like £425 (posted) or £410 collected which for a KoM in this condition I think is reasonable.

    Price drop to £400 collected

Made with 531 double butted awesomeness and matching frame & fork serial numbers. I just won't be using a tourer/geared bike in the foreseeable future so this has to go.

Can be seen in the Stockwell/Brixton area. Dibs followed by pm please. And the bike is "redder" for some reason the pictures seem to be a bit orange.

  • hubba hubba

  • 57cm square?

  • Good luck with the sale Phil.
I know I'm going to regret this.

  • Full measurement is seat tubes a 59cm and top tube 57cm.
So people from a long legged 5'9" to about 6'1" would probably suit. I'm 5'11 for the record

  • Oof, slightly too long for me, but probably a good thing. Lovely frame.

  • truly sexual

  • Nice looking frame Phil.

I note there are no mudguard eyes, so more of a road frame. You really should put some wheels with tyres in there on the photos, so people can see how it looks / clearances etc.

Also rear spacing might be useful.

  • Cheers Skully - i opted not to stick any wheels on as it is so shiny I was worried about scratching the paintwork and wanted to keep it in mint condition.

I'll check rear spacing tonight but in the meantime below is a photo of it with wheels and set up fixed before it went back to Mercian

  • Have you got the full geometry ie seat and headtube angles plus the headtube length.

    Thanks

  • Sory Flintlock - no idea on the angles. You'd be welcome to come over and check it out

  • Thanks

Headtube length and rear spacing then please.

  • Sorry about the delay, the headset length is 175mm and the rear spacing is 130mm.

Still for sale and will do a price drop to £400 collected or £415 posted

  • Thanks PQR

Is seat tube centre to centre or centre to top?

    Thanks

  • The measurement came from Mercian when it was being re-sprayed so presume it was centre to top. Can check tonight

  • Yes if you could check please.

  • Is this still up for grabs?

  • Yup, it is currently boxed up in my spare room where I can't get to it for a few days due to builders being in
Flintlock - I've not forgotten about the above, just hard to get to atm

  • Price Drop if collected over the Bank Holiday weekend. Less than half the price of a new KoM

  • Just 1cm bigger and this would be mine.

  • Longer stem should sort that out!

  • Did you get chance to check if seat tube was c-c or c-t ?

    Thanks

  • Hi Flintlock, I sent you a PM yesterday morning so not sure if you got that. I can double check tonight

  • Stunner!

  • Any chance I could come and have a look Thursday or Friday night? Can you get to it?
