Clue 1: Running from Crickdale to Southend this is no bike ride. Mile upon mile of places to hide.

Apparently someone else found it, couldn't work out the combination for the lock, and he ^ paid £300 to get it off the original finder.

I couldn't see anything about the combination though?

So rattle canning a bunch of crap bikes, locking them with cheapo combi locks set to 7777 and leaving them in random places (outside Evans stores perhaps) would be a bad idea?

as per original clue, 4 sevens unlock her - the lock placed on the bike had apparently a opening sequence set up to be exactly these numbers.
So if the finder wants to take the bike with him, as a proof, he needs to use this hinted code to unlock the bike from the stand.
