I have finally been sent a cheque from FGW for the difference in ticket price. If Jordan and Jim want to PM me I will forward on their dues when I receive the cheque.

OK team. Can anyone remember the name of the place we had breakfast in that square when we arrived on this ride?
Or, does anyone know of any bike-friendly hotels/B&Bs/hostelries in Bath?

It was, they were very tolerant of many tired sweaty cyclists.

Andrew, if you're about and you fancy heading out in to the hills give me a bell. I live in Bath now (about a 20 min walk from this establishment)

Cheers Ben. It may not happen now as logistics have started to look complicated. The plan was to head down with my better half Sunday, after a wedding in Oxfordshire on Saturday. But it looks like the intricacies of venue logistics, early rehearsal requirements and a desire to avoid turning up at a friend's wedding in sweaty lycra may have put paid to plans.
Soon, though, soon.
