My arse appears to work well but it takes about 5000 miles, anyone got anything faster?
what?

what?
The friction of said arse on said saddle wears the original colouration off to reveal the white underneath, but the predicament is that it takes around 5000 miles to do so. Ipso facto Loctez is looking for an arse sharpener.

Precisely, arse sharpener sounds painful though and could make any form of sitting uncomfortable. Anything other suggestions?

I can't suggest any way to strip the colour off the saddle but if that's where your arse sits on it then I suggest a bike fit.

I have had a bike fit, my arse does sit normally on the saddle, it's just my hench thighs that rubs it.

Friction is the key, so some mild abrasive that simulates the same thing as your thighs are doing - a used scouring pad? Tbh I would just plump up for a nice new white selle cheapie, got to be worth a tenner for the hassle? Or offer it up and put a wanted ad on the forum. The shape looks similar to an Arione if you wanted to splash the cash, they are always coming up on ebay.

I wander if it is one of these: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/syncros/rp20-chromo-rail-saddle-ec049609 Could always order one and send it back if it's not the same, good thing about it being Evans is you can take it back to a shop even if you ordered online, saving yourself return postage.
I really like the saddle that I took off an old cube road bike. But it looks pretty shagged and is not worthy of being perched on my canyon. Anyone know any ways to strip back the black off this saddle and just leave the white? My arse appears to work well but it takes about 5000 miles, anyone got anything faster? Alternatively anyone know any saddles that should fit the same?
