Spotted this http://i.imgur.com/h7p2Fe9.jpg and presumably TomvanHalen on campus this afternoon around 2:30pm. I was on grass with bike and people. Nice bike.

Saw many bikes on a short trip to campus again tonight. Pick of the bunch, a young kid with a afro with an electric blue deep v front wheel - got a thumbs up for radness.

A nice Bianchi Pista Via Brera at UEA. Locked up with a cable I could probably chew through so I might have it.

Welcome to the forum, Joe. Think I've seen the same pista around recently.
Saw a guy on a white track bike with a red saddle turning from colegate to magdalen street about 3ish on tuesday. You pulled an effortless skid but please show your bike a bit of love, sounded like a rusty chainsaw!

Haha, I saw an old Raleigh mixte locked up outside TKMaxx with one of these yesterday
If that wasn't bad enough it was 'locked' to something like this
I should've taken it out of principle

Serve as inspiration? How are the new straps treating you? I rode to campus with Fiona earlier just after it rained, The Avenues was still greasy and it was immense - I held slides for numerous seconds, which felt like an age.

It certainly did! I haven't properly ridden with them yet, just round the car park at the back of mine. They're a larger size than the ones I had on it so the toe overlap is huge, not sure whether I'll be able to ride with them to be honest. I'll properly try them tomorrow but may be back in to look for a smaller size ;)

Ah yes, sorry, I remember you saying now. I can't remember what those Tioga ones were like length wise, but they might do the job. Alternatively just fork out for some new proper beefy double strap things.

Pretty sure it was the tiogas that I picked up. You working tomorrow? I probably will eventually, need to get some new straps too
-
• #815
Oh right. No, I never work weekends, only Weds, Thurs and occasionally Fri. You know where everything is so you could just rummage anyway, or alternatively come back next week when I'm around.

Someone along Duke Street this afternoon who I thought was spiderpie from the back, but he turned out to be a lovely chap on a 531 fixed conversion. No idea who he was, but we chatted about gearing and the wind until he stopped at the art school.
