Looks like this thread could be a winner. Originally I thought you were going for abandoned personal projects (which could also be a good thread).

I saw a book about this when I was Christmas shopping a few years ago. It just made me feel a bit depressed.

I don't have a photo (yet) but my favorite abandoned bike is that pair of BMX handlebars that are handcuffed to the bike racks outside Tesco in Bethnal Green. Still there after four years...

Heres a load more junk porn i've seen about. The yellow and black carrera is ridiculous, the owner must be really clueless as they don't seem to have removed it. Only needs a few bits and it could be saved, seems like it well stay there till everything else is gone :(
Theres a whole load of those bent D locks along mile end road.....
And the battered purple frame with a curtain falling out of the seat is a really old Bianchi, lovely frame, really hope someone saves it before Islington council cut it off.Highly doubt this is abandoned, just haven't seen it move in a few weeks and the chain is seriously rusty.
This was locked outside angel station with a notice saying Islington council will cut it off, it was still there after all the other abandoned frames had been removed, then it suddenly disappeared. Next day I find it has been locked to a fence around the corner. Looks like a brand new kryptonite on it as well, what on earth goes through peoples heads :S

That's my garden
I saw this over on a car forum and it was a massive success so why not give it a try on here. This thread is dedicated to those abandoned cycling relics, bikes which owners have discarded, frames locked to railings with a D lock having been raided of every piece not locked down ect....
Being in London, there is certainly no shortage of abandoned bikes, so I shall start the thread with some i've seen recently (although nothing particularly interesting except the tora's on the red mtb) And the black raleigh frame I found with a broken drop out by a bin off oxford street, every part on it has gone to good use.
So, this thread could either be a great success or an epic fail....lets see what you've seen about?
