When i create side to side leverage on the bars when i come off the saddle the headset/fork/stem area makes a horrible metallic creaking noise. its a zenith quill stem
There's your trouble. The bar clamp always used to creak because the tension is applied in the centre, not near the sides. Oh, and the quill would creak too, for similar reasons. That's why we changed to better designs, ooh, about 15 years ago.

Solid work just can't figure out why it's not been done before the beige saddle just completes it so well enjoy.

Almost bought this today thinking I could be the capo di tutti capi when riding about.
Glad I agreed a BIN price and headed over to Crouch Hill to check it out. He'd "touched it up" all over the place with a paintbrush and done a pretty sloppy job. Oxidisation bubbles under the paint and all kinds of crap.
Might still bid on it, but I won't mind if I don't get it as I know its worth less having seen it.

Roberts arrived, so threw some parts on it. Not sure what's going to look good. All black? Got a Record Pista group that could go on it with white saddle/tape...
Undrilled, and possibly too small to fit with drops so might be hanging it on the wall (in Otley).

^ What is the point of those Asymetrical chainrings???
Otherwise nice ride.

lower effective gear at the top (& bottom) of your pedal stroke.

All about Nitto RB001/002/010 or similar riding fixed round Leeds, climbing on hoodless drops isn't pleasant... bulls would sort the fit as well.

I ride bulls normally as where I live in London is hilly. Can I drill it? CAN I?
Crits are good for general use, I find - I just put on the ridonkulous deep drops for this photo!

So damn nice!

Low... Yes. What apollo wrote.
You feel a big difference over a long ride. I love them! -

Drill what?!

Drill what?!
Forks! Really can't, look at the top of them FFS. Can't sully this, but also not riding brakeless.

Could use an ugly as fuck clamp on, I have one.
-
• #77145
Please.... Don't drill track forks.

New tyres and a bit shorter stem.
Do love BMC frames, aspire to own one at some (very vague) point, and this is a nice build... but what are the bars (Easton EC90 SLX?)?!

The kind that clamps onto the forks, or into the bottom of the steerer? They just seem a lot of money for something that looks crap.
I do have some drilled chromed Columbus forks that'd fit. Not flat crown though.
Gonna go and see if it fits, anyway...

Ha ha. Sometimes it's better not to be precious about these things.
Probably not going to drill these though...

Office Depot's new line of half-bike-half paper tray cycles I picked up on the way to work earlier this week. The Mecacycle Turbo model. Thinking to change the front wheel for something a little more zippy and may even add a crankset too (all the rage I hear).
A whole bunch of ills to undo on this bike obviously and it rides nice enoughth then down the line I reckon 10 speed silver Campagnolo bits should be quite nice, as would some not-shit photos.
Will: maybe grease all the areas that you can in that area, headset threads, stem ect. i had an creaking issue with my bb area. re-greased chainring bolts...end of issue........but also look for cracks.....
