Bought as damaged but didn't think it looked that bad to be honest. Talking to a framebuilder and he says there's signs of deformation which is true. There's a slight bend on the top and down tube if you look closely. I will take it to his shop to see if it's possible to straighten it without any major work. Would be nice if you didn't need to as the tubes are ESA Columbus SL which has six crimped ridges instead of four as on the mexico.
The frame is a 59cm c-t-c with a sloping top tube. Who bought it, who rode it is something that I'll try to find out.
Have thought about the gruppi and I feel it needs a complete c-record pista set up as that group took over as top of the line after super record in '87.
The bike came with none-original forks and my research has lead me to believe that the fork crown is a cinelli pista 23. All I need is to find a investment cast and make a framewelder build me one. Easy peasy. Probably not.
Frame has gotten a respray in a yellow gold flake coat and will be corrected, sending it to Italy and
Pelizzoli & CoEroicacicli for a proper restoration.Questions?
