In terms of best outcome, the fire engine should probably have just carried on and squashed her. They could call an ambulance and carry on their way to whatever emergency they were attending. She is probably going to get splatted somewhere by something in the end, so might as well get it over with, and at least this way the ambo gets called nice and quick, by a professional, who can give the address accurately. Not sure who would be left with the responsibility of returning the Boris bike though.
